Dental hand-piece handles, mirror handles, and probe handles are autoclaved between every patient. Polycarbonate handles haze and crack after 200-300 cycles. PPSU handles last 1000+ cycles.
PPSU machines well with carbide tools at moderate speeds. Avoid coolants containing aggressive solvents (some chlorinated coolants cause stress cracking). Water-based coolant is preferred.
